             North Alabama Daylily Society to host the 2014 Spring Meeting

A message from Dave Flanigan:

The North Alabama Daylily Society is pleased and honored to host the AHS Region 14 Spring Meeting. The 2014 Region 14 Spring Meeting will be held in Madison AL on June 13-14 2014.  The meeting will be headquartered at the Best Western Plus hotel in Madison.  We have negotiated an attractive room rate with a free full breakfast and we signed a contract with the hotel yesterday. We have four excellent tour gardens and we plan to have a Friday night meal.  We have a workable budget.  We were indeed fortunate to have Larry and Cindy Grace agree to be our banquet speakers.

We have an outstanding chairperson in Sharon Beecher. She is a long time administrative assistant in one of Huntsville’s large military and aerospace contractors and her experience will assure that things get done professionally and on time as she has already demonstrated in negotiating a better hotel/meal deal than we have had for our two previous regional meetings.  I sincerely ask for your support of her as this is her first venture into this different world of daylily meetings. Please make plans to meet with her in Fairhope to offer your advice and encouragement. I hope you also realize that I along with so many supportive club members will supply any local support she may need.

We are extremely proud of the club members of NADS who have placed a  high priority on the future of Region 14 and its members; we plan on surprising a few folks with a superb regional meeting.
